Ben Buchholtz – Certifyd™

Introduction

Ben Buchholtz aka Wrexx is a self-taught artist with a thirst for counter-conventions and unmatched volume, resembling that of a police siren, which continually catch people off their guard. His music contains sensible yet complex melodies programmed into sharp synths and orchestrated pieces that flatters any who hear them. Ben’s father had a big influence on him during his childhood, in terms of music production, because he owned a personal recording studio.

This allowed young Ben to study how the process worked from the perspective of a producer and learned where all the fun is. Having played drums, guitar and piano since the age of 12 you can really hear the intricacy put into every track he writes. After producing a couple of remixes with various labels, he decided to push his original content out to the masses. Legendary Producer Future Funk Squad heard his track ‘Tasteless Words & Timeline’ and was thunderstruck.

His sound lies somewhere between early Hybrid & BT with cutting edge production for todays dance floors.

The second I heard this stuff I knew that this guy is gonna be a force to be reckoned with, I might even give up producing after hearing this stuff!

Ben released is first EP with En:vision recordings and with it, his popularity grew worldwide. 2009 serves to be his breakthrough year, finishing up 2 remixes for Future Funk Squad and holds a bi-weekly radio show on DI.FM called Revibe Session. He can also be seen DJ’ing delivering energetic set after another.
